Instinctive archery

Bow making came first for me. At some point I wanted not only to build bows but to shoot them properly and pass that on — so about 15 years ago I did the instructor training in instinctive archery with Henry Bodnik (Instinctive Archery Academy).

So you don't just get bows pushed into your hands: I show you technique and safety, and I stay with you the whole time.

• Groups of 6 or more only, large groups of around 20 are fine
• 1.5 hours
• €40 per person, equipment provided
• Adults and teenagers
• Location: archery range near Banz Abbey, archery range in Uetzing — or at your place (plus travel, €0.50 per kilometre driven)
• Date by arrangement with your group

Whether as training for the mind or as the highlight of a special day — archery suits many occasions. I bring the mobile equipment and the supervision; you bring the occasion.

• Company outings and team events — out of the office, trying something together that nobody has practised.
• Team building — archery as a mirror for focus and communication in the group.
• Weddings — something to do between the ceremony and the party, for the couple and the guests.
• Medieval markets — archery like in the old days. As a bow maker I also show the craft: how a single piece of wood becomes a bow.
• Festivals and club anniversaries — town festival, garden party, anniversary. Equipment and safety come along.

There is no calendar here: your group sets the date. Write to me with the occasion, preferred date, approximate number of people and where you would like to shoot – and you will get a quote.
